Peter French’s Anubieion at Saqqara III: Pottery from the Archaic to the Third Intermediate Period is a pottery catalogue from excavations carried out at the temple of Anubis at Saqqara in Egypt during the 1970s. As well as standard cleaning up of text and formatting, the typesetting of the book, totalling 467 pages, included:

  • tables of data set within the text on almost every page
  • a section of plates at the end of the book. The plates had to be set to scale, the majority of which were at a ratio of 1:3
  • spending extra time making sure the specific formatting of the pottery reference numbers had imported properly across the book
  • Title: The Anubieion at Saqqara III: Pottery from the Archaic to the Third Intermediate Period
