Being an Egyptologist isn’t something you do because you need to pay the bills or are looking to pass the time. Oh no. It’s a passion that burns deep in our souls that we just can’t brush to one side. It’s the just-one-more-book-for-the-shelf syndrome; it’s your ears pricking up at a passing mention of Egypt; it’s being able to pull any conversation back around to ancient Egypt; it’s being that person that’s easy to buy gifts for because your friends and family know that, as long as it has something ‘Egypty’ on it, it’ll be good.
And we’re proud of our passion, too. Our chests swell with pride when we get that look of fascination and accompanying ‘Oooh!’ when a new acquaintance asks what we do.
Whether you’ve pushed yourself through seven years of university study and are working, researching, digging or lecturing; or you’re a student now on that journey; or you’re an independent scholar who’s spent years with your nose in all the right books, we’re united by our love of all things ancient Egypt.
And now you can shout it from the rooftops with this stylish, yet durable, tote bag, designed by an Egyptologist for Egyptologists.
It’s the perfect companion for when you need to carry those large files of notes to lectures or the office, for when you have all those books to pick up from the library, or to take to the shops instead of plastic bags.
The tote bags are made from 80% recycled cotton and 20% recyled polyester.
They measure a generous 49 × 37 cm, with the top edge double-folded for strength. The handles are 70 cm, and are attached with a reinforced cross-stitch.
