Wooden statuette of Nakht-ankh: fine-art print
£65.00 – £130.00
Description
Back in the heady days of the ancient Egyptian 12th Dynasty, lived Nakht-ankh, priest and son of the governor, in the town of Shashotep in Middle Egypt.
When he finally departed this life, he was buried in a tomb along with his brother Khnum-nakht.
There they rested for several millennia, accompanied by a beautiful collection of model boats, servants, ceramics and statuettes, including this gorgeous statuette of the man himself.
They now have a new life at Manchester Museum, where they continue to live for millions of years, preserved and cared for, having their names spoken by those who may pass by them.
And now you can show off your Egyptology geekery by adorning your wall with this gorgeous photo.
Get yourself a piece of Tiny Egypt! The detail of the statuette featured in this photo is around 5 cm wide and is the flagship image for my Tiny Egypt project. It’s been photographed using a macro lens and carefully lit to bring out the detail and texture, and to help make the tiny Nakht-ankh colossal.

About your print
Your photo will be printed on Hahnemühle Pearl fine-art giclée paper.
Hahnemühle Pearl has a smooth orange peel texture and a bright neutral white base. It creates vibrant colour reproduction and great detail. The paper is resin coated with a fibrous feel, with the satin finish of the coating giving depth to the image.
Your photo will be printed and fulfilled by theprintspace, an award-winning fine-art print house favoured by professional artists and photographers alike.
The print has a narrow, white border. Not only does this make handling the print easier (no fingerprints!), it also means you can get it framed and/or mounted without losing the edges of the photo.
The print has a life expectancy of around 80 years in average daylight conditions; however, where and how you keep your print affects this.
- Avoid hanging it in direct sunlight
- Avoid subjecting it to temperature and humidity fluctuations, e.g. above a radiator, next to a drafty window, or on outer walls
- If direct or bright sunlight is unavoidable, consider buying a frame with UV protective glass
- If you get your print mounted/matted, ask for 100% cotton fibre, acid-free unbuffered mount boards
Your print will be produced and dispatched by theprintespace in 2–5 working days.
Delivery to the UK and EU usually takes a few days; other countries can take up 5–10 working days. Please bear in mind that these are average times, and delivery during busy periods could take longer.
Once your print is with the delivery company, you should receive an email from them with tracking numbers and delivery information.
Your print will be produced on an order-by-order basis, meaning resources are used only when needed.
theprintspace is a 100% end-to-end carbon-neutral business, using low carbon business practices and carbon offsetting via the Gold Standard and investing in renewable energy projects. This offsetting takes into account the emissions created during the delivery process.
The Hahnemühle Pearl paper used for this print comes from sustainable forest management areas. This programme ensures the preservation and protection of biodiversity, the renewal of the forests habitats and reducing the impact of exploitation of forest areas for future generations. The paper is certified for the traceability of the wood fibres from an origin of non-threatened forests.

Please note that computer monitors and mobile devices can show colours in slightly different ways and intensities. If the colours in your print don’t look quite the same as how they look on your screen, this is why. However, if there’s an obvious problem with print quality – or your print arrives damaged – please let me know, along with some photos, so I can organise a replacement.
If delivery is significantly delayed (excluding longer delivery times during busy periods or times of strike action), please let me know so we can come up with a solution.
If, when you receive your print, you change your mind, you can return it within 14 days of delivery for a refund or store credit. Just drop me an email if this is the case. Please remember, however, that I am one person, and that I don’t have the financial cushion that large retailers do to be able to offset the cost of lots of returns. Thanks!
