Teachings of Djehu-tea: ceramic mug

Description

The scribe who pursues success must boil the kettle before work

Wise words from a wise man, indeed! Djehu-tea was the Egyptian god of writing, of accountancy, of academia, of record-keeping, of mediation and of law (to name but a few). However, one of his lesser known roles was as god of I-can’t-work-without-a-brew. Here, Djehu-tea sits in the Hall of Justice, waiting for the kettle to boil.

If you find yourself often using tea-making as an excuse to get away from the computer screen or work, then Djehu-tea’s your man.

This mug features a photo from a page of the Egyptian Book of the Dead at the Garstang Museum of Archaeology. It belonged to a man called Inaros who lived during the Saite Period (26th Dynasty, 664–525 BC).

The papyrus was photographed with a macro lens, bringing out details you would otherwise miss, and is an exclusive design you won’t find elsewhere.

About your mug

Your mug is an 11oz ceramic mug, a standard size for your tea, coffee or hot chocolate 😋

The design is printed using the dye sublimation process, which creates high-quality, detailed, vibrant images. It also means your mug is safe to use in both the microwave and the dishwasher.

Your mug will be produced and dispatched in the UK, usually within 2–3 working days.

Delivery to the UK usually takes a couple of days; other countries can take up to a couple of weeks or more, depending on where you are in the world. Please bear in mind that these are average times, and delivery during busy periods could take longer.

Each mug is printed to order, meaning resources are used only as and when needed, and are mailed in 100% plastic-free, recyclable packaging.

The inks used to print the design are water-based and are free from harmful chemicals and animal products, making them vegan-friendly and eco-friendly.

The Tetisheri website is hosted by a UK-based company, who are certified partners of the Green Web foundation. Their servers are powered by 100% renewable electricity and they have invested in energy-efficient infrastructure and tree-planting offsetting projects.

Your data security is important to me. The only data stored on this website is your delivery information and the details of your order.

I don’t have access to any of your financial information (e.g. credit/debit card details). Payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal; I won’t see any passwords or card details you enter as part of the checkout process.

This website is hosted by a UK-based hosting company who take their security seriously. They use servers protected by secure firewalls and antivirus and anti-malware software, as well as brute-force attack protection. Their data centre meets relevent ISO standards for physical security.

Please note that computer monitors and mobile devices can show colours in slightly different ways and intensities. If the colours on your mug don’t look quite the same as how they look on your screen, this is why. However, if there’s an obvious problem with print quality – or your mug arrives damaged – please let me know, along with some photos, so I can organise a replacement.

If delivery is significantly delayed (excluding longer delivery times during busy periods or times of strike action), please let me know so we can come up with a solution.

If, when you receive your mug, you change your mind, you can return it within 14 days of delivery for a refund or store credit. Just drop me an email if this is the case. Please remember, however, that I am one person, and that I don’t have the financial cushion that large retailers do to be able to offset the cost of lots of returns. Thanks!
